Enkel de verhouding (breedte x hoogte) ligt vast. -
Bepaalde druktechnieken zijn geschikt om het werk buiten te hangen (Dibond).

Geboren in januari 1970 samen met mijn broer.
Woon momenteel in Wevelgem, vlakbij de Franse grens in de provincie West-Vlaanderen, België.

Kreeg een grafische opleiding aan het VISO in Mariakerke.
In 2015 begonnen met de opleiding tot fotograaf aan het Kisp in Mariakerke.
Deze vijfjarige opleiding eindigde in januari 2020.
Als afstudeerproject koos ik voor zwart-wit fotografie van bossen.
In mijn eindwerk dompel ik de kijker onder in de mysterieuze en betoverende wereld van zwart-wit bosfotografie. Het is niet zo vanzelfsprekend om dit in zwart-wit te doen.
Door te kiezen voor zwart-wit ontdoe ik het bos van zijn kleuren en breng ik de essentie van vormen, contrasten en texturen naar voren. Elke foto is doordrenkt van contrast, waardoor de subtiele nuances van licht en schaduw tot leven komen en de sfeer van het bos intenser wordt.

Mijn portfolio is een uitnodiging om de rust en schoonheid van het bos te ervaren, om even te ontsnappen aan de hectiek van alledag en jezelf te verliezen in de tijdloze pracht van de natuur. Met elke klik van mijn camera leg ik niet alleen beelden vast, maar ook momenten van verwondering en stilte. Welkom in mijn bos, waar stilte spreekt en schoonheid eindeloos is.
Een andere wereld die me fascineert is die van de architectuur- en macrofotografie.

Who is Stefaan Hoste?
Born in January 1970 together with my brother.
Currently live in Wevelgem, near the French border in the province of West Flanders, Belgium.
Got a graphic design education at the VISO in Mariakerke.
In 2015 started training as a photographer at the Kisp in Mariakerke.
This five-year course ended in January 2020.
As a final project, I chose black-and-white photography of forests.
In my thesis photography, I immerse the viewer in the mysterious and enchanting world of black-and-white forest photography. Not so obvious to do this in black and white.
By choosing black and white, I strip the forest of its colours and bring out the essence of shapes, contrasts and textures. Each photograph is steeped in contrast, bringing to life the subtle nuances of light and shadow and intensifying the atmosphere of the forest.
My portfolio is an invitation to experience the peace and beauty of the forest, to escape from the hectic pace of everyday life for a while and lose yourself in the timeless splendour of nature. With every click of my camera, I capture not only images, but also moments of wonder and stillness. Welcome to my forest, where silence speaks and beauty is endless.
Another world that fascinates me is that of architectural and macro photography.
